Michael S. Scherer, D.D.S., M.D.

Dr. Scherer is a board certified Oral & Maxillofacial Surgeon practicing since 2004. He practices the full scope of surgical procedures utilizing a complete range of anesthetic techniques.

Dr. Scherer attended Illinois Wesleyan University graduating in 1995 with a Bachelor of Arts degree. He then attended the University of Illinois at Chicago where he received both a Bachelor of Science in Dentistry in 1998 and then was Salutatorian of his class when receiving his D.D.S with honors in 1999. He went on to complete medical school and received his M.D. in 2002 at Case Western University in Cleveland, Ohio. Dr. Scherer completed his training at University Hospital of Cleveland/ Case Western Reserve University in Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery. He was awarded his diplomate status by the American Board of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery in 2006.

Dr. Scherer practiced in Cleveland, Ohio until 2005 and relocated to his hometown of Batavia, Illinois. He now practices in Naperville.

Dr. Scherer is an active member of local, state and national organizations for Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery. He is still an Assistant Professor at Case Western Reserve School of Dental Medicine and actively engages in teaching today. Continuing education is emphasized to maintain his skills and knowledge of emerging techniques and materials.

Dr. Scherer strives to provide his patients with the highest level of professional and personal care. He is currently living in Wheaton with his wife and 3 children.
